Apparently it all started on Monday 13 June – some Instagram users started reporting having trouble with Stories. In the sense that they were forced to review the stories they had already seen before they could move on to the next one. The bug would be due to the Instagram app, which “forgets” the display order of a user’s stories, so it repeats the same content every time. On Wednesday morning, Instagram released an update in the App Store that appears to have fixed the problem.
To avoid problems, therefore, just check the update and check if the app is in version 239.1. The update notes simply say, “The latest version contains bug fixes and performance improvements.”
