by admin

The aircraft featured in this video is called Spirit of Innovation and is powered by an all-electric 400kW motor. According to who built it, the British Rolls-Royce is the fastest electric plane ever. In tests carried out on November 16, ‘Spirit’ would have reached 623 km / h. The aircraft is believed to have broken a total of three world records over as many distances. It is also believed that the aircraft has established a new record, again as regards the electric motor category, in the time it takes to reach 3000 meters: 202 seconds against the 262 previously established.

The data collected by Rolls-Royce was sent to the World Air Sports Federation for verification and eventual certification. ‘Spirit’, as one of the team members who made it states in the video, would have beaten the previous speed record (213 km / h), which had been set in 2017 by an aircraft made by Siemens eAircraft.
