The ASL of Asti today announced an update on the Medicine A department of the Cardinal Massaia Hospital, where an outbreak of Covid positives occurred last week (see related).
“All hospitalized patients and health personnel operating in the ward have undergone an additional swab in the last few hours to ensure that no new Covid infections were in progress: all swabs were negative.
In these days, although no other positive cases have occurred, the ASL At has nevertheless decided to maintain the suspension of visits to patients hospitalized in Medicine A as well as new hospitalizations in the ward, in order to protect patients and visitors external risks from further risks, in an appropriate logic of prudence and caution that made it possible to contain the infections.
If the situation remains unchanged, on the day of tomorrow we will proceed with the sanitization of Medicine A, in view of the reopening of the ward”Reads the note from ASL Asti.
