The US federal security agency opens an investigation into the Tesla accident

La National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (Nhtsa), il colossale US federal body that deals with road safety, opened a special investigation into the recent fatal Tesla crash that resulted in three deaths. Newport Beach Police issued a press release on May 12, confirming that the accident occurred at 00:45 in the morning with causes still to be defined.

The story in the USA had a huge uproar because the Tesla (a Model S of 2022, therefore brand new and top of the range, a 100 thousand dollars car) crashed into a machine under construction on Pacific Coast Highway in Newport Beach. The police report says the three people aboard the Tesla are all dead. And that three construction workers were only injured in the accident. No other vehicles were involved.

So the Los Angeles Times realized about the incident a great investigationdenouncing the fact that the accident is one of the over 30 that the NHTSA is investigating. And the reason for the dispute is always the same: the suspicion that the use of advanced driver assistance systems, such as autopilot, is the cause of everything.

Tesla, as usual, did not release no commentbut the NHTSA investigation, under the spotlight of all the major media in the world, is continuing.
