For a week now, a 51-year-old man has been hospitalized in the infectious disease ward of San Bortolo in Vicenza. He arrived with signs of a high fever, joint pain, headache. all symptoms attributable to tick-borne encephalitis, which is however a very subtle infection because the symptoms can also pass in a short time and then reappear after about ten days.
