TikTok is the youngest of the most successful social networks. Born in 2016 by the Chinese company ByteDance, it has already managed to conquer 732 million users in the world and 12.5 million people in Italy. Its feature is the short videos shot and edited with only the use of the smartphone, thanks to a powerful technology to manage visual effects and editing.
TikTok is mostly used by teenagers. For them it is a mirror app, as the smartphone camera is like the mirror they have in their bedroom.
It soon became the territory of new influencers who made the most of its creative palette. The peculiarity of the ranking of the most followed TikToker compiled by Buzzoole is that it is almost completely occupied by characters you have probably never heard of.
10. The Twins Dam. In tenth position, 8 million followers, we find two very popular twins: Nicholas and William Lapresa. Their talent and sympathy have allowed them to gain a huge following especially among teenagers.

8. Fabio Farati. With 10 million followers we find an influencer specialized in video comedy. Fabio achieved enormous success in a very short time, just think that in March 2020 he had “just” 1 million followers!
7. Manuel Mercuri. 10.2 million followers for this tiktoker who as a child was regional and national champion of artistic gymnastics and, thanks to his past, has been able to transform his passion into short films.
6. Pasquale Della Sala. At just 17, Pasquale ranks sixth with 11.3 million followers. He always publishes original and creative content that fully reflects his personality.
5. Urban Theory. In fifth position, with 12.4 million followers, we find a collective of dancers from the Vallecrosia (Imperia) dance school. Among the protagonists of this beautiful profile we find: Jessica De Maria, Fabiano Paglieri, Davide Sala, Lorenzo Piantoni, Riccardo Marano and Leonardo Sigona.
4. Letwins. With 14.1 million followers, we incredibly find another pair of twins: Ylenia and Nicole Burato. They climbed the rankings of TikTok for having been able to exploit the effects and creative possibilities of the application.
3. Arnaldo Mangini. Do you remember Mr. Bean? Arnaldo is an Italian comic artist, famous for being just like Rowan Atkinson’s character. His 15-second comic sketches have drawn him into a community of over 16.3 million followers.
2. Gianluca Vacchi. In second position, with 18.4 million followers, is the famous Instagram entrepreneur and influencer. Here he shares his ballets and the moments that characterize his life.
1. Khaby Lame. In the first position with an impressive number of followers (over 75 million) we find this young boy of Senegalese origins who in a few months has literally conquered TikTok users. His videos, based only on his mimicry, are ironic responses to other people’s films (in the jargon “stitch”).
