(ANSA) – TERAMO, 09 JUL – The tourist medical service will be activated in the first days of next week.
The ASL of Teramo has made a great organizational effort: for days it has been looking for a solution, given that the doctors of the Usca, who had guaranteed it in the last two years, closed their activity on 30 June.
“The difficulty arises from the fact”, explains the general manager Maurizio Di Giosia, “that general practitioners, who by contract could carry out the activity of tourist medical guard, in consideration of the resurgence of the pandemic and the management of Covid patients on the territory, could not give their availability. However, by applying the national legislation which provides, until December 31st, the extension of the contract of former Usca doctors, albeit under different conditions, has taken steps to “enlist” as many A number, albeit small, have joined and this allows the reactivation of the “historical” tourist medical centers “.
In the next week, six tourist medical centers will be reactivated: at the Uccp of Villa Rosa, in the Tortoreto district (also serving Alba Adriatica), in an outpatient clinic on the first floor of the “I portici” center of Giulianova, in the so-called Casa rosa (also headquarters of 118) in Roseto, in the headquarters of the Pros association in piazza Marconi in Pineto and in the district on Statale 16 in Silvi. Given the difficulties, for the moment the provisional timetable is 9-13 from Monday to Friday (except for Silvi and Pineto where they will be open every other day), while on the weekend, for emergencies, you can contact the medical guard . The start-up of the service is in an experimental phase in which we will try to calibrate the few forces available and as far as possible we will try to extend the opening hours. (HANDLE).
