From the start of the project in 2018 to today, one million people have taken part in the training and retraining initiatives of the Ambizione Italia #Digitalrestart plan, the Microsoft initiative that aims to support the relaunch and growth of the country through digital . The announcement came today in the context of Microsoft skilling day, a day dedicated to the initiatives of Microsoft Italy and its partners to support the dissemination of digital skills.

Microsoft Italia launched numerous programs three years ago to increase the dissemination of digital skills so required by the world of work: from the initiatives for the education world with ‘Ambizione Italia per la scuola’ with the Fondazione Mondo Digitale to the many tech academies created with partners local on innovative technologies to train professionals. “our country – commented Silvia Candiani, CEO of Microsoft Italy – is experiencing a paradox that is unique of its kind: on the one hand we have an important request from companies for qualified professionals, on the other hand, our unemployment rate remains among the highest in Europe. It has been calculated, for example, that in 2024 1.5 million ict specialists will be needed while in the next 5 years, 2.7 million jobs will require new skills, of which over 50% will be digital skills . Digital training is therefore the key to returning to growth and being competitive. With the Ambizione Italia #Digitalrestart plan we want to do our part, but we need a common effort and synergistic work between all the players in the market to ensure us and our young people a better future “.

The goal is to bring the number of people who have taken the various courses to three million by 2023. Thus Microsoft Italy together with the Digital World Foundation presented Ambizione Italia per i Giovani, a training course that involves institutes and companies that deal with of training and provision of paths on new skills within metropolitan contexts: a strategic initiative to intercept young people and citizens who most need to integrate skills, deepen them or explore still unknown professional fields in order to be able to enter effectively in the market of work.

After an initial experimentation of the training program that involved the network of job orientation centers (col) of Roma Capitale, the project will also be extended to the city of Bari with the involvement of Portafuturo, the job center of the Municipality of Bari, and to Palermo. . The program is aimed primarily at the operators of the centers, who receive training on the conscious use of digital tools for orientation, job search and self-promotion of users, even at a distance. Training will then follow modulated on different user profiles, in order to intercept the different needs, how to fill gaps or enhance skills, and respond with specific paths. The courses are divided into different levels of previous skills, with free activities and delivered in mixed mode (synchronous and asynchronous, in presence and at a distance). Thanks to the collaboration with Anpal, the Ambizione Italia per i Giovani project is also aimed at the neets of the youth guarantee plan to train specialized figures in the digitization of SMEs. The aim is to offer girls and boys between 14 and 29 years of age an opportunity for specific training on the new technologies that are essential for the post-pandemic restart of Italian companies. “The economic restart of the country must take place with the participation of all. If we do not want to create new inequalities, digital transformation and sustainable development must become a single challenge that leverages human capital, investing in knowledge, skills and professionalism. In full emergency health with the Ambition Italy program for young people we are committed to supporting active employment policies from a system perspective, through a training plan that starts with young people, involves companies and local administrations and reaches the most fragile workers “, said Mirta Michilli, general manager of the Digital World Foundation.

“The fight against youth unemployment is one of the main challenges of our country. Anpal, also thanks to the European youth guarantee program, contributes with measures and actions to accompany the inclusion of young people in the labor market. The Ambizione Italia per i Giovani project responds to the strategic objective of developing digital skills for which the demand for work is constantly growing ” commented Paola Nicastro, general manager of Anpal. “Roma Capitale is strongly committed to supporting active labor policies by focusing on training and digitization, especially in a critical phase like the one we are experiencing due to the pandemic. With this in mind, the collaboration between the Col network and Microsoft Italia and the Fondazione Mondo Digitale is strategic for raising the level of skills both of our employees who support citizens in their search for a job and of users who want to propose themselves on the market with skills. more and more qualified. We are honored to have started this project that makes Rome the leader of an experiment at the service of the young and the most vulnerable “, said the mayor of Rome Virginia Raggi.” We are proud that Microsoft has chosen our city – underlined Eugenio Di Sciascio, deputy mayor of Bari – together with only two other realities in Italy to start this training course on the younger generations. On the one hand, this confirms that Bari is perceived as an attractive pole where it is possible to invest both in physical structures and in skills and talents. The educational offer of this course, totally free for children, aims to train specialized figures in the digitization of SMEs and to offer them that portfolio of skills that allows them to be attractive on the job market today. Digital transformation is a great opportunity to relaunch the country, but to seize it it is necessary to put people at the center of attention, offering them the tools to be protagonists “.

“The pandemic has created new obstacles, but also new opportunities in the world of work. Helping people to acquire new skills and make the most of them in the presence of a potential employer, become key elements in helping professionals to seize new job opportunities. Likewise, encouraging companies to rethink the way they hire, focusing on a candidate’s skills and potential, as well as their formal qualifications and experience, will be key to ensuring an equitable recovery and building more resilient economies together. ” affirmed Marcello Albergoni, country manager of LinkedIn Italy.

With Experis academy we have activated numerous free courses over the years. for about 1000 young unemployed talents per year, who have been transformed into important training projects and aimed at job placement in the it & digital field with a placement rate of 60% “said Giovanni Rossi, operation manager of Experis academy.
