One of Ubisoft’s lesser-known studios is Ubisoft’s Stockholm studio, which was established 4 years ago. Considering that they have not released any game so far, and most of their time is helping Massive Entertainment to develop “Avatar: Pandora Frontier”-this game has not yet been launched, so it is not surprising that it will be silent.
But the studio is very interesting. Under the leadership of Patrick Bach, several industry veterans joined, and Patrick Bach himself was the deputy general manager of DICE and contributed to “Battlefield: Notorious” and “Battlefield 3″ and ” “Battlefield 4” takes the role of producer. Now it seems that Ubisoft Stockholm has already started to develop a new plan.
The source of the information is the recruitment notice, because the studio is currently looking for new employees to be responsible for “an ambitious new IP.” One of the positions required is the chief game designer-action/combat, which requires “important experience as a game designer for AAA action games”. Another vacant position is an animation/engine programmer, “participate in the creation of new animation systems and cultural heritage.” For the last job list, Ubisoft Stockholm Studio also asked a rational question:
“Since there is no today, this is your chance to use all your knowledge to make a new game IP from scratch. Who doesn’t want to try it?”
Basically, it seems to be a large-scale AAA action game made entirely from scratch, and does not rely on Ubisoft’s existing technology in other series. Since all this is still very new, we assume that there will be a long time before we can see something from this project-but let us look forward to it.
