UCLM Students Shine in Resident Internal Physician (MIR) Tests: Top Performers in National Exam

The University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) continues to demonstrate its excellence in the field of medicine, with several of its students achieving top rankings in the recent Resident Internal Physician (MIR) tests. Among the 11,755 applicants who passed the cut-off mark, Gabriel Portero Campillo from the Faculty of Medicine of Albacete stood out by securing the eighth position.

A total of 23,437 individuals participated in these specialized health training access tests, aiming for the 11,607 places offered by the Ministry of Health. Out of these, 8,772 places were allocated to the area of Medicine, as confirmed by the UCLM.

In addition to Gabriel’s outstanding performance, five other students from the Faculty of Medicine of Albacete have also made it into the top one hundred. Notably, Ángela López Rojo and her brother Eloy Portero Campillo achieved positions 36 and 47, respectively. Ángela López Rojo additionally earned the second place in the Extraordinary Career Award.

The UCLM expressed its pride and congratulated all the students who passed the cut-off mark, emphasizing the remarkable achievements of Gabriel, Ángela, and Eloy. The university’s dean commended the students for their exceptional performance, showcasing the institution’s commitment to producing top-quality medical professionals.
