What actually happens

The mechanism of control doesn’t work for at least five reasons.
1) Let’s take the Tuscany site: the waiting time in 2020 for an MRI of the abdomen indicated in 69 days. But it is not said whether a service to be guaranteed immediately, within 10 days, 30 or 60. The same happens in Emilia-Romagna, in the autonomous provinces of Bolzano and Trento and in Calabria. These sites of the Regions, which enter the average waiting time without making a distinction based on the priority code (urgent, short, deferrable or scheduled), actually publish useless information. In Basilicata the time is measured only for the deferrable priority code.
2) In Molise the calculation of waiting times is done only on a week at discretionin Calabria and Veneto on an index day (the reference always to 2020).
3) They come to Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Campania only the data of some healthcare companies, probably the most efficient, are published. The results therefore risk being distorted.
4) The list of services to be monitored by law is not respected. In 17 Regions there are fewer visits and exams than those indicated by the Pngla (Basilicata, Campania, Calabria, Emilia-Romagna, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Liguria, Lombardy, Molise, Pa Bolzano and Trento, Piedmont, Sicily, Tuscany, Umbria, Aosta Valley, Veneto).
5) It is not possible to know if the time indicated in forecast (i.e. I indicate today what the expected waiting time) or a posteriori (ie I indicate what in reality there was to wait). They do not specify: Basilicata, Campania, Calabria, Emilia-Romagna, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Lazio, Liguria, Lombardy, the autonomous provinces of Bolzano and Trento, Piedmont, Sicily, Tuscany, Umbria, Valle d’Aosta, Veneto.
