Webinar Wound Hygiene | Cooperation as a survival strategy: focus on biofilm

Are existing standards of care for wound management adequate to our current knowledge of biofilm? This question led to the work of an international panel of experts in the sector which, after a year of work, led to the publication of a Consensus in which the concept of Wound Hygiene, a structured method that allows you to overcome the obstacles to healing created by biofilm, a real vademecum for health professionals who find themselves managing injuries that are difficult to heal.

According to an analysis of more than 154,000 patient medical records over a 4-year period, nearly twice as many hard-to-heal injuries where frequent and repeated debridement was performed healed compared to those who received less frequent treatment . Frequent debridement has also led to shorter healing times for all types of injuries

The aim of the webinar is to share the content of the Consensus through the Ambassadors – Clinicians, experts in the field – with all Healthcare Professionals who manage difficult-to-heal injuries and offer them tools to apply it immediately.
