Who was Technoblade and why we are looking for it on Google

It is the most searched word on the Internet in Italy in this beginning of July 2022, but it’s not just a search term: Technoblade is (was) one of the most popular and followed video game youtubers. Not only that: he is (was) a 23-year-old young man, his name was Alex and died of cancer.

The news spread in Italy in the nightwhen on his channel, mainly dedicated to Minecraft, a video was published with the latest message from Technoblade, dedicated to fans and read by his father: “If you are hearing these words, it means that I am dead”, you hear it say .

The clip, which lasts just over 6 minutes and in the first few hours has collected over 21 million views, it’s both sad and funny: “Excuse me if I have sold you so many things in the last year (the reference is to merchandising, ed), but at least that way my brothers can go to college – it is among the most moving and ironic phrases – If they want to, because I don’t want to put any of that pressure on him My dead brother wants me to do this”.

In the final part of the video, it is heard the father of Technoblade tell that the young man wrote the text of the message from the bed and died shortly after: “I don’t think he said everything he meant, but I think there are the main points. He finished it, he lived for about 8 more hours and then he died ”.

The 23-year-old had revealed the disease to fans just over a year ago, in August 2021, telling of a continuous numbness in the arm that was initially confused with the consequences of fatigue (perhaps also linked to prolonged use of mouse and keyboard). In reality it was a sarcomawhich left him no way out.

The Technoblade canal, opened in October 2013, it has over 11.3 million followers (400 thousand earned after the farewell video) and in less than 10 years it has collected over 1.3 billion views.
