Microsoft will officially launch a new operating system, Windows 11, in early October. Do you think that the arrival of Win 11 is what everyone expects? An investigation report in the United States was splashed with cold water. The report stated that more than 60% of the respondents did not realize that Microsoft would launch the Windows 11 operating system.
- Investigation report says more than 6 adults do not know the new Windows is coming
- Only a few people said they would upgrade to Win 11
- Older respondents will have a better understanding of the Windows operating system
Windows 11 will be officially launched on October 5th, and eligible Windows 10 users can get the update for free. Recently, the results of a survey conducted in the United States by saving.com, a pricing and discount website, may have disappointed Microsoft executives. The survey was conducted in early September. 1,042 Windows users in the United States were interviewed in the form of online questionnaires. Unexpectedly, 62% of respondents said they were unaware of the launch of Windows 11.
Of the remaining 38% of respondents, they said they knew that Windows would have a major update soon, but only 41% of the 38% of respondents planned to upgrade to Windows 11. In addition, 14% directly indicated that they would not upgrade the operating system, and 45% indicated that they were not sure whether it would be updated.

The interesting data worth mentioning is about age. The report pointed out that older respondents are more aware of the coming of a new operating system. The results showed that 56% of the respondents who knew of the new Windows operating system were 55 years or older, and only 28% were between 18 and 24 years old. The report speculates that young people use smartphones and tablets more often, and updates to the Windows operating system may not necessarily attract their attention.
The survey also paid attention to which features of Windows 11 the respondents are looking forward to. The results show that the most concerned function is the ability to execute Android App, accounting for 14% of the respondents; followed by the new design, with 13% of the respondents Express concern. However, it is worth noting that 38% of respondents said they are not clear about which features are worth looking forward to.
