Windows 11 performance measured AMD, Intel multi-core performance plummeted | XFastest News

by admin

At the June 24 press conference, Microsoft is about to announce a new generation of Windows operating system, and now everyone knows it is Windows 11.

As for the performance of Win11, there are also actual test results, but I am a little disappointed. The multi-core performance of AMD and Intel has dropped by 10%.

The ISO installation file of Win11 has been leaked two days ago. Foreign websites compared the performance of Win11 and Win10. Two laptops were used, one is DELL XPS 13 9300, the processor is Core i7-1065G7, and the other is It is Lenovo IdeaPad Slim 7, and the processor is Ryzen 7 4800U. The test results are as follows:

The items to be compared are common running scores, including: GeekBench 5, PCMark 10, Speedometer 2, Cinebench R23, 3DMark, etc.

In different tests, the performance of Win11 is also different. Most tests are similar to Win10, and the performance of Speedometer web pages is much higher, but it may be related to the version of the browser.

However, the performance of Win11 is also disappointing. In the R23 test, the multi-core performance is almost 10% lower than that of Win10, and the single-core performance is not much changed. Considering that Win11 is still a beta version, it should be related to insufficient CPU scheduling optimization. Obviously, this is the focus of Microsoft’s future optimization.

The performance is also different on AMD and Intel platforms. In PCMark 10, the Intel platform has dropped by 3%, and the AMD platform has dropped by 7%. This also needs to be adjusted.
