Ubisoft announced today that The Worker Story will be available for PC on March 17. Worker Story is a construction real-time strategy game that will take players to settle in new lands, gather resources to build their communities, recruit civilian partners (or engineers), and organize troops to protect and defend their new settlements.

The upcoming Worker Story is available for pre-order on Ubisoft Connect and the Epic Games Store. In addition, players can seize the opportunity to participate in the closed beta test that will begin on January 20.

Developed by Ubisoft Dusseldorf Studios, The Worker is coming out as a reboot, taking inspiration from two of the most popular games, The Worker 3 and The Worker 4. Players can expect this to be an all-new “Worker Story” game, rebuilt using Ubisoft’s patented Snowdrop engine, and will set a new standard for visual effects in the real-time strategy game genre. Old and new players alike will experience lush, colorful environmental biomes, as well as modern gameplay. Players can play The Worker Story in one of three game modes: single-player campaign, onslaught, and skirmish (single vs. computer, co-op vs. computer, or PvP for up to 8 players).

In The Worker Story, the Elari (a faction in the game) are forced to flee their homeland and must settle in new and unknown lands. Exciting adventures await them, as they meet other civilians and face tough challenges along the way. There are three playable factions in The Worker Story, each with a unique look, gameplay, and their own backstory.

The Worker Story will be available in the following two editions:

• Standard Edition: Main Game
• Deluxe Edition: main game, Deluxe Pack and other digital content

Players selected to participate in the upcoming closed beta test will be able to experience “Teach Mode,” two playable factions, and two skirmish modes: 1v1 and 2v2. Between January 20 and 24, players selected to participate in the closed beta test will be able to experience the upcoming game for an unlimited time through the Epic Games Store and Ubisoft Connect. The Worker Story Beta Closed Beta will be available for pre-loading on January 18.
