Valdobbiadene will have its community hospital with twenty beds plus the gym: this is the Ulss 2 Marca Trevigiana project illustrated yesterday by the general director Francesco Benazzi during the municipal council of Valdobbiadene.
Dr. Benazzi spoke together with the president of the Conference of Mayors of the Ulss 2, Paola Rome, mayor of Ponte di Piave, to answer some questions and queries posed by minority municipal councilors, in particular by the Valdo group of Italy and Europe, on the social and health services of the Treviso area and the district pertaining to Valdobbiadene.
The director general of Ulss 2 Marca Trevigiana, among the various information and communications given to the municipal councilors, announced that the investment needs relating to the National Healthcare Plan (National Recovery and Resilience Plan) had been sent to the Region.
Between these, Valdobbiadene has a very important weight because in regional health planning it will play a significant role in increasing the territorial health services in support of hospitals.
After months of intense work carried out by Ulss 2, in collaboration with the Ipab San Gregorio, the municipal administration of Valdobbiadene and the Region, a document was produced that will be sent to the Presidency of the Council of Ministers.
“In continuity with the program agreement between Ulss 2, the Veneto Region, Ipab San Gregorio and the Municipality of Valdobbiadene – explains the mayor Luciano Fregonese -, agreement that provides for seismic and plant upgrading interventions of the Fabris and Piva pavilions and the demolition of the Geronazzo pavilion to create a car park with 150 parking spaces, equipped in case of disaster, with an investment of 6.5 million euros currently underway of preliminary design, the funds requested from the NRP will constitute an addendum to the program agreement, providing for an important demolition of the hospitalization pavilion and the construction of a new building on 3/4 floors of about 1,000 square meters per floor ”.
The mayor of Valdobbiadene underlined that, within the structure, a community hospital (intermediate structure between hospitals and retirement homes), a community house (with polyclinic rooms serving the community hospital) could be built. and for the reorganization and strengthening of the district and rooms for the functional aggregation of general practitioners) and a first aid point associated with the emergency medical service and the 118 service (a sort of ‘light’ first aid that plays an important role not only for the residents of the district but also for tourists and visitors).
In addition, there will also be a Cot (Territorial Operations Center) within which the administrative and technical structures of Ulss 2 and the Municipalities will be able to collaborate to connect the hospitals to the territorial socio-health structures.
The president of the Ipab San Gregorio was also present in the city council, Alberto Prandin, which confirmed the commitment of the institution for the activation, in the coming months, of the rehabilitation pool inside the social-health citadel.
The president of Rome, on the other hand, illustrated the numerous activities carried out by the Conference of Mayors in the last two years thanks to the strong collaboration between the mayors, Ulss 2 and the Region.
A work that has made it possible to bring various instances to the fifth regional commission, responsible for dealing with socio-health issues, which also includes the municipal and regional councilor Tommaso Razzolini, which confirms the great work carried out by the Conference of Mayors of the Marca Trevigiana and the excellent collaboration with Dr. Roma.
Great satisfaction of the Fregonese mayor for the work carried out in recent years by the Municipality, the Ipab San Gregorio, the Ulss 2 and the Region: finally in the next 5 years it will be possible to see the completion of the conversion of the former Guicciardini hospital into a structure socio-health within which citizens will be able to take advantage of important local health services.
