During the Congress held last Monday 4 July, the National Council elected the new team that will lead the Italian Association of Young Doctors (Sigm) for the two-year period 2022-2024. “Four years ago I participated in my first National Congress, after having begun to actively follow the local dynamics of the Campania offices, which saw me born and grow from an associative point of view, under the guidance of some of the seniors with whom I continued to share my path – begins the new President of Naples -. Many changes in the medical profession – she adds – as a consequence of an emergency that has deeply invested us in every sphere of our human and professional path. To us, as young doctors and as a trade association, the arduous task of continuing to represent colleagues, collecting their requests and analyzing them in the light of a rapidly evolving professional and political reality, inspired by the vision that Sigm embodies from over ten years: the direct and widespread relationship with colleagues throughout the country, the constancy in taking charge of the needs of young doctors and in trying to give them a voice in the representation activity that we have the privilege of exercising at all levels (local, regional, national and institutional). Because whoever wears this “shirt” is like this: she works constantly for her colleagues, putting the good of the category before the interests of part, with the aim of carrying out a real renewal of medical training. “
