This year coincides with the 35th anniversary of Qin Shihuang’s Mausoleum and the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Pit being included in the World Cultural Heritage List and the 60th anniversary of the archaeological work of Qin Shihuang’s Mausoleum. During the main event, the Qin Shihuang Mausoleum Museum reviewed the achievements of Qin Shihuang’s Mausoleum and the Terracotta Warriors and Horses Pit in the World Cultural Heritage List, and organized an archaeological event. (Cultural relics protection) results release, the construction of the protection and display project of the outer city wall and city gate ruins of the Mausoleum of Qin Shihuang, the operation of the monitoring and early warning platform for the cultural heritage of the Mausoleum of Qin Shihuang, etc.;
It is understood that after the successful application of the Qin Shihuang Mausoleum and the Terracotta Warriors and Horses to the World Heritage List, the third pit, the second pit, the stone armor pit, the Baixi figurines pit, the bronze waterfowl pit, etc. have been excavated successively. “Prince of Sturias Award”, selected for “Hundred Years of Archaeological Discoveries” and outstanding projects in the protection and display of archaeological sites; “Temporary Solid Extraction and Protection Technology” won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award; the copper chariot and horse museum was completed and opened, and the basic display of bronze chariots and horses won the “Top Ten Exhibitions of National Museums”; promulgated and revised the “Regulations on the Protection of the Mausoleum of Qin Shihuang”, The “Plan for the Protection of Qin Shi Huang’s Mausoleum (2022-2035)” is being revised.
According to the Provincial Cultural Relics Bureau, the cultural and expo units in the province will focus on this year’s theme, display the achievements of cultural heritage protection and utilization, publicize cultural relics protection regulations, hold various exhibitions, conduct cultural relics knowledge lectures and other colorful online and offline activities, reflecting the testimony and display of cultural relics.
