On April 4, the Qingcheng District of Qingyuan City officially announced that on the 3rd, an explosion occurred in the No. 9 casting well of the No. 2 Melting and Casting Workshop of Guangdong Fine Special Profile Co., Ltd. in Yuantan Town, Qingcheng District, resulting in 4 deaths and 1 serious injury.
According to the report, the preliminary reason is that the aluminum water leaked into the cooling pool during the drawing and casting of the aluminum rod, which caused the accident.
“Jimu News” reported on the 4th that the incident occurred at about 11:10 am on the 3rd. The explosion caused serious damage to the main structure of a workshop of the company. A person familiar with the matter said that a few minutes before the explosion, the company’s casting well had leaked aluminum water.
The video posted on the Internet shows that at the time of the explosion, a mushroom cloud rose in the air, and the factory components were also blasted into the air, and even a large section of steel structure components were impacted on the road outside the factory. Residents living near the factory disclosed that their glass doors were shattered at the time of the incident.
