A 56-year-old worker died this afternoon falling to the ground from a staircase he was working on to fix the chimney of an apartment in via di Luther King, on the first floor of a building near the seafront of Porto Recanati. The staircase was leaning against the balcony, at a height of about 4 meters, and due to unclear causes it fell backwards and ended up against the stairs of the building. Help was called immediately, but the worker died instantly, violently banging his head against the steps.
