Shock at 1:04 Italian with epicenter in front of Bejaia
(ANSA) – ROME, MARCH 18 – A strong earthquake of magnitude 6.2 was recorded at 00:04 local time (01:04 in Italy) off the coast of Algeria.
According to data from the Italian National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (Ingv) and the US geological monitoring service Usgs, the earthquake had a hypocenter about 10 km deep and an epicenter 20 km from Bejaia. At the moment no information is available on any damage to persons or property. (HANDLE).
