  CCTV News:According to the WeChat public account “Healthy Jiangsu”, from 0-24 o’clock on August 17th, there were 6 newly confirmed local cases in Jiangsu (all reported by Yangzhou City), 2 cases were light type, and 4 cases were ordinary type. One new case of asymptomatic infection was imported from abroad. The above cases were treated in isolation in designated hospitals. There were 34 new discharged cases (33 local confirmed cases and 1 imported confirmed case).

Details of new cases will be released by relevant districts and cities.

  Since July 20th, a total of 811 local confirmed cases have been reported in the province (235 in Nanjing, 12 in Huai’an, 561 in Yangzhou, and 3 in Suqian).A total of 113 local confirmed cases have been discharged from hospital.

At present, 711 confirmed cases have been isolated and treated in designated hospitals, including 698 local confirmed cases (127 cases of light type, 529 cases of normal type, 26 cases of severe type, and 16 cases of critical type). There were 7 cases of asymptomatic infection under medical observation, including 1 case of indigenous asymptomatic infection.

From January 22, 2020 to 24:00 on August 17, 2021, a total of 1,576 confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia were reported across the province (including 133 imported from abroad).
