Initial vehicle registrations decreased 18.58% compared to 2023.

The vehicle fleet in the national territory ended in 2023 with 18,952,113 vehicles registered and active in RUNTof which 11,609,028 are motorcycles, 7,134,588 vehicles and 208,497 are part of the machinery, trailers and semi-trailers group.

Motorcycles not only have the largest record of the vehicle fleet in the RUNT, but they are the vehicle with the greatest non-compliance with the Mandatory Insurance Policy (SOAT) and the Mechanical Technical Review (RTM).

Regarding the general total of procedures for renewal and issuance of driving licenses For the year 2023, this ended with 3,900,441 procedures, of which 1,808,007 belong to category A1 and A2; 1,026,575 are part of categories B1, B2 and B3 and, finally, for category C1, C2 and C3, 1,065,859 procedures were reported.
