Original title: No-load trial operation of 7 new subway lines began. The number of lines opened to traffic is the longest in history. The trial operation period is 3 months.

It was learned from the Municipal Major Project Office and the railway company affiliated to the Beijing Investment Corporation that on September 16, the remaining section of Beijing Metro Line 8, the first phase of Line 19, the west extension of the airport line, and the remaining section of the S1 line entered a three-month no-load operation. In the trial operation phase, plus the remaining sections of Line 14, the southern section of Line 17, and the western section of Line 11, which started trial operation on September 10, the 7 subway lines scheduled to be opened to traffic at the end of the year have all entered the no-load trial operation phase. .

The remaining section of Line 8 is about 4.3 kilometers long, starting from the National Art Museum of China Station in the north and Zhushikou Station in the south. From north to south, there are three stations including Jinyu Hutong Station, Wangfujing Station and Qianmen Station. Prior to this, Metro Line 8 had opened the north and south sections in phases. After the remaining sections are opened at the end of the year, Line 8 will become a transportation trunk line that runs through the north and south, further improving the scope and quality of subway services and providing convenient conditions for people to travel.

The first phase of Line 19 has a total length of 22.4 kilometers. It starts from Xingong Station in Fengtai District in the south and ends at Mudanyuan Station in Haidian District in the north. There are 10 stations in total. All stations except Xinfadi Station and Niujie Station are transfer stations. With an average station spacing of 2.3 kilometers, the line forms a “big station express” and “automatic driving” operation mode. It is the first urban line in Beijing with a speed of 120 kilometers per hour. As the line passes through the central city and the geological environment is complex, the construction unit combined with the actual project and the goal of opening to traffic to carry out the commissioning of high-speed trains in sections. The commissioning began on August 1, which created conditions for the follow-up full-line trial operation.

The west extension project of the Capital Airport Line is about 1.8 kilometers long. After the opening, the starting point of the Capital Airport Line will be extended from Dongzhimen Station to Beixinqiao Station, and will be transferred to Metro Line 5. After the completion of the west extension of the Capital Airport Line, the passenger flow pressure at Dongzhimen Station will be greatly relieved, and it will be more convenient for citizens to depart from the central city to the Capital Airport.

The remaining section of the S1 line is about 1.2 kilometers in length, from Jin’anqiao Station to Pingguoyuan Station. After the trial operation, it will lay the foundation for the implementation of the “three-line transfer” of the Pingguoyuan integrated transportation hub, which will facilitate the surrounding residents to travel. The opening of the remaining section of the S1 line marks the full opening of Beijing’s first medium and low-speed maglev line.

In order to make these 7 new subway lines open to traffic on time during the year, the subway builders worked overtime to achieve no-load trial operation on schedule. The relevant person in charge of the Municipal Major Project Office introduced that most of the new lines that have entered the no-load trial operation are concentrated in the central urban area, which is difficult to construct and debug. Many line stations use the existing line to carry out construction work during the evening outage. According to the plan, the seven new subway lines will be fully tested and verified during the no-load trial operation of vehicles, power supply, signal, communication and other systems, and at the same time fully run-in between people and equipment, systems and systems. After three months of no-load trial operation and strict acceptance, these lines will be put into operation in 2021.

According to the relevant person in charge of the Municipal Major Project Office, in accordance with the “2021 Beijing Urban Rail Transit Construction Plan”, there are currently 15 lines under construction in Beijing with a total length of 291.3 kilometers. 7 lines (sections) of 54.5 kilometers are planned to be opened by the end of the year. The number of lines open to traffic is the largest. After the opening, the operating mileage of Beijing’s rail transit will reach 781.5 kilometers, which will further enrich and improve the city’s rail transit network. (Li Bo)
