A small dog was tied to a tree and killed, then deprived of its microchip. The local police from Luco dei Marsi (L’Aquila), a town of about six thousand inhabitants about ten kilometers from Avezzano, found him on Friday 22 October. Investigations began immediately to find the perpetrator of this cruelty. In the meantime, the Italian Association for the Defense of Animals and the Environment (Aidaa) intervenes, announcing the institution of a reward of 5 thousand euros that will be paid to those who with their testimony will help to identify, punish and have the authors of the ‘killing. The association invites all citizens who are in possession of information that can help investigators to identify the culprits to contact the police and the mayor of Luco dei Marsi who announced the presentation of a complaint on the matter.
