SAN FELICE DEL BENACO – “In my house I grew up that there were more guns than cutlery” says a boy at the bar in the center, the post office on one side, the parish on the other, the tobacconist opposite, the restaurant in Gianpi in the usual place. And there were eight rifles, plus two pistols, in Roberto Balzaretti’s house: an accidental shot from an armed rifle took his 15-year-old daughter away.
It is all close to the center of San Felice del Benaco, a quiet village on a hill on the Brescia side overlooking Lake Garda.
