Greater precision and fewer patient sessions. Zaia: “Quality of care and services: we are excellent where we can”

BELLUNO. A sniper instead of a tank. This is the comparison used by the President of the Region Luca Zaia to explain an excellence of Belluno healthcare, used only in a few other structures in the Veneto region to fight certain types of cancer (prostate and breast for example).

Costing 1.9 million euros, the new linear accelerator was inaugurated on Thursday, which allows greater precision in destroying cancer cells and to reduce the side effects of radiation and fewer sessions, not a secondary issue in a province where travel is difficult for patients and families.
