The Interreg initiative involved Valle d’Aosta, Piedmont and Savoy in the creation of a cross-border path dedicated to wine-growing areas
AOSTA. The interreg Route des vignobles alpins / Alpine vineyard road project comes to an end. The occasion will be celebrated with an event organized on Facebook on April 9th.
The Alpine Vineyard Route involved Valle d’Aosta, Piedmont and Savoy in the creation of a common cross-border path to enhance the wine-growing areas of the two sides of the Alps and coordinated with other tourist and cultural offers. After a general presentation and a focus on the metropolitan city of Turin, the event will propose connections from Aymavilles for the Aosta Valley, Pomaretto and Carema for Piedmont, Montmélian and Motz for Savoy, during which the activities will be illustrated the videos of the interventions carried out were launched and projected.
The exhibition and tasting rooms of the Aosta Valley wines at the Grandze of Aymavilles Castle will be presented, the two demonstration vineyards created and made accessible to visitors in the municipalities of Donnas and Morgex, the studies completed by the University of Valle d’Aosta for Cervim common values of the viticultural territories and of the Institut Agricole Régional on the landscape peculiarities of these areas and on the economic costs necessary for their preservation.
For the Aosta Valley, the regional councilor for agriculture Davide Sapinet and the mayors Loredana Petey of Aymavilles, Amedeo Follioley of Donnas and Federico Barzagli of Morgex will participate in the social event. Together with them will be the president of Cervim Stefano Celi and the head of the agricultural economics sector of the Institut Agricole Régional Carlo Francesia Boirai. Andrea Barmaz, president of the Vival winemakers’ association, will moderate.
Among the projects common to the entire cross-border partnership, the new app created to improve the experience of tourists on the entire new route of the Route des vignobles will be presented.
