Xinmin Evening News (Reporter Jin Minyi) During the Dragon Boat Festival holiday this year, the Municipal Market Supervision Bureau’s complaint and reporting system received a total of 12,496 complaints and reports, and answered 8,729 inquiries. Among them, clothing, shoes and hats, general food, household items, cosmetics, communication products and other complaints and reports topped the list. At present, all complaints and reports have been transferred to the market supervision departments of various districts and the Consumer Protection Committee for coordination and handling.

Complaints and reports during the holiday period mainly show three characteristics. First of all, the full resumption of work has led to a recovery in consumer demands, with online consumer demands accounting for over 80%. During the holiday period, the total number of complaints and reports received was 12,496, of which online consumer appeals accounted for 82%.

Secondly, the demand for food consumption is relatively concentrated, and the difficulty in picking up the dumplings and the delay in delivery have caused complaints. During the holiday, the system received 1,405 requests for food, mainly related to online food ordering, delivery services and other issues, including 41 requests for seasonal food zongzi, which mainly reflected the difficulty of picking up the zongzi, late delivery, and wrong goods.

Finally, there are many consumer disputes in clothing, shoes and hats, household items, cosmetics, etc. During the holiday, the system received 1,721 appeals for clothing, shoes and hats, 790 appeals for household items, and 751 appeals for cosmetics, mainly reflecting product quality defects, delayed delivery, inconsistency between publicity and reality, and inadequate after-sales service.
