Today (January 11), Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province held a press conference on epidemic prevention and control to introduce the latest situation of epidemic prevention and control.

From 0:00 to 24:00 on January 10, 2022, 13 new local confirmed cases were reported in Xi’an. From 0:00 on December 9, 2021 to 24:00 on January 10, 2022, the city has reported a total of 2,017 local confirmed cases. At present, all cases have been transferred to designated hospitals for isolation and treatment.

Among the 13 new confirmed cases, 8 were mild cases and 5 were common cases; from the distribution of residence, there were 9 cases in Chang’an District, 2 cases in Yanta District, 1 case in High-tech Zone, and 1 case in Xixian New District. All were found in isolation and control; from the age structure, 2 cases were under 3 years old and 11 cases were 18-60 years old; from the gender distribution, there were 6 males and 7 females.

According to the flow survey, the close and sub-close connections that have been identified are subject to isolation management and control in accordance with relevant requirements.

During the epidemic control period, some people from other cities were stranded in Xi’an, mainly including: those stranded on family visits, those stranded on business trips, those stranded for medical treatment, those who were unemployed from other places, those who were stranded in logistics and transportation, those who were stranded in transit stations and other stranded personnel.

On the 11th, Xi’an City issued a specific policy on leaving the city for stranded persons: those stranded in medium and high risk areas and their districts (development zones) are strictly restricted from leaving the city; for those stranded in other districts and counties (development zones), non-essential If you do not leave the city, if you really need to leave the city, you must obtain the approval of the street office (town) or the development zone, and leave the city with a negative nucleic acid test certificate within 48 hours and the health code “green code”.
