Although some places were flooded, people still walked on the streets of Shanghai on Sunday.

A huge typhoon landed twice in Zhejiang Province, the eastern coastal region of China. Just a few days ago, China’s Henan Province was hit by severe floods.

According to official media reports, Typhoon Fireworks made landfall in Zhoushan City, Zhejiang Province at 12:30 local time on Sunday (25th). At around 9:50 this morning, the “firework” landed again on the coast of Pinghu City, Jiaxing, Zhejiang. The maximum wind force near the center was 10 (strong tropical storm, 28 m/s) when it landed.

The typhoon brought heavy wind and rain to Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and other places. Sea, land, and air traffic was interrupted in parts of China’s east coast, and dozens of ships were evacuated from a busy port in southern Shanghai.

Uprooting of trees is common in Shanghai, and typhoons have also caused seawater intrusion and landslides in Hangzhou, Ningbo, Shaoxing, Zhoushan and other coastal areas of Zhejiang.
