Among the rubble produced by the 5.9 magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale that struck eastern Afghanistan in the night between 21 and 22 June, with its epicenter 44 kilometers from the city of Khost. More than a thousand people died and at least 1,500 were injured by the earthquake, the worst in the last twenty years. The Taliban have asked the United Nations for help.
