Agordo, elderly in difficulty with shopping: Dolomitibus ready to extend the ride to the hamlet

by admin

GOSALDO. From Wednesday Dolomitibus could extend the 13.10 run up to Lambroi. The official status is missing, but the chances that the sisters Germana and Franca Ren and the other inhabitants of Ren, Lambroi and the other hamlets of Gosaldo in Valle del Mis can avoid an odyssey to go shopping or use some services to Agordo are concrete.

To say it is Dolomitibus through the director Pietro Da Rolt and Luca Celentin. “On Wednesday we were contacted by the mayor of Gosaldo”, they say, “who presented us with the question and the understandable discomfort of the inhabitants.”

The two sisters of 83 and 81 had in fact complained that on Wednesday when they went down to Agordo to do the shopping (in Lambroi and surroundings there is no shop), they left at 7 and returned home only after 15 thanks to a local boy who gave them a ride from Tiser down. According to the Dolomitibus summer timetable, in fact, those leaving at 7 from Lambroi can only return by bus at 5.50 pm. All other services stop at Tiser, 3.7 kilometers away. Just over seven minutes by bus.

“We asked the mayor what the need was and what could be the solution in a short time”, say Da Rolt and Celentin, “he proposed the possibility of extending a Wednesday run which is market day in Agordo.” The proposal that Dolomitbus will submit to the Province is therefore that of continuing the Wednesday run up to Lambroi which starts from Agordo at 13.10. «In Lambroi», they explain from the company, «the bus will turn around and return to Agordo, picking up any users who will then be able to return to Lambroi with the race that starts from Agordo at 5.15 pm and arrives at 5.50 pm».

Mayor Stefano Da Zanche is optimistic: «When we received the report we moved: we contacted Dolomitibus by telephone and today we sent an official communication. From what they have told us, we should be able to get to the bottom of the matter ».
