At noon on October 16, 33 members of the Seventh Legislative Council of the Macao Special Administrative Region were sworn in under the oath of Chief Executive He Yicheng. The heads of the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao Special Administrative Region, the Office of the Special Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Macao Special Administrative Region, the People’s Liberation Army Forces in Macao and other agencies, as well as the principal officials of the Special Administrative Region Government attended the swearing-in ceremony.

Before the ceremony, all the people in the venue stood up and sang the “March of Volunteers”. All members of the Seventh Legislative Council of the Macao Special Administrative Region stated in their oath that they support and implement the “Basic Law of the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China”, be loyal to the Macao Special Administrative Region of the People’s Republic of China, be dedicated to their duties, abide by the law, be honest and perform their duties, and serve the Macao Special Administrative Region wholeheartedly. .

The election of the 7th Legislative Council of the Macao Special Administrative Region was held on September 12 this year. 14 directly elected members and 12 indirectly elected members were elected.
