Alpinist falls for 150 meters in Val di Zoldo and loses his life

A woman fell from the Sfornioi where she was climbing with two friends

Val di Zoldo. He slips from the crest of the Sfornioi and loses his life. Fatal accident in the mountains today, Wednesday 23 June, in Val di Zoldo. The alarm went off just before 2pm, when the companions of a hiker asked for help: one of their climbing companions had slipped off the Sfornioi ridge.

The three friends were in the vicinity of the Cima di Mezzo, when the woman lost her balance and fell. From the precise indications of the place of the incident received, the air ambulance quickly identified the point where the two men were and, lowering themselves vertically, they saw the body of Annamaria Nerosi, 50 years of Erto and Casso (Pordenone), 150 meters below.

Disembarking with a 60-meter winch, the rescuers set up an anchor and descended for about thirty meters. Once embarrassed, the body was always recovered with the winch, to be transported to Pontesei and entrusted to the hearse.
