The newly passed Family Education Promotion Law will come into effect on January 1, 2022.
Standardize the concept of family education, stipulate the content and methods of family education, family education work mechanism, the state’s measures to support family education, schools and other social forces’ coordinated tasks for family education, state agencies and state staff take the lead in doing family education work… …Talking about the highlights of the Family Education Promotion Law, Guo Linmao, Director of the Social Law Office of the Legal Work Committee of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, said that the Family Education Promotion Law adopts a series of measures through system design to realize that family education is based on family rules, family precepts, and family letters. The traditional model is iteratively upgraded to a new model that is guided and driven by the rule of law, with the core values of socialism as the main content, and the fundamental task of establishing morality.
At the same time, the Family Education Promotion Law implements the spirit of the Central Government’s document on reducing the burden of students’ homework and off-campus training during the compulsory education stage, changing the situation in which families are only an extension of students’ classrooms and parents are only assistants to school teachers, demonstrating the important status and importance of family education. Regarding the newly passed Land Border Law, Chen Guogang, deputy director of the National Law Office of the Legal Work Committee of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress, introduced that the Land Border Law has seven chapters and 62 articles, which clarify the leadership system, department responsibilities, military tasks and local people in the work on land borders. Huang Wei introduced that in order to consolidate and expand the effect of audit rectification and do a good job in the “second half of the article” of audit supervision, this revision of the Audit Law clarified the rectification responsibility of the audited unit for the problems found in the audit, as well as the people’s governments at all levels and relevant competent authorities. Units and auditing agencies have the responsibility to supervise the rectification and reform of audited entities, and at the same time strengthen the use of audit results, and stipulate that audit results and rectification should be used as an important reference for the assessment, appointment and removal, rewards and punishments of leading cadres, as well as policy formulation and system improvement.
