Ok to the works for the Tanzi Petroli project on the lane to Silea and Oderzo, it will rise on the opposite side of the Ip area. It also aims at the traffic of the East Terraglio
TREVISO. About two years after the request to build a new petrol station on the ring road was forwarded to the Municipality, the green light for the intervention has arrived. The service area will rise along the carriageway leading to Silea and Oderzo, between the hospital roundabout and the junction for the Trevisomare, more precisely on the agricultural land that nowadays flanks the ring road near the dead Sil.
It will be the fourth petrol station along the eight kilometers of freeway that runs from Silea to the town and will – let’s say – settle the score between the two opposite lanes.
Today, in fact, there are two in the direction of the town: the Ip petrol station between Silea and the hospital, and the large Vega station near Santa Maria del Sile, complete with a car wash, parking area and former motorway restaurant. Only one on the other side of the ring road: the (reduced) twin of the Vega station of Santa Maria del Sile.

Was it needed? According to market calculations, it seems so, given that along the roadway, and then the Postumia, before finding another distributor you have to get to Olmi. It matters little that there are two in the first kilometers of the Trevisomare and then another in Roncade.
Tanzi Petroli – one of the main companies in the “logistics” of petrol stations – has just forwarded to the Municipality the documentation for the start of the construction site which, according to initial assumptions, could start at the end of the summer, but perhaps even earlier. Granted that an acceleration in the construction of the new service area has also been given by the forthcoming construction of the last stretch of the East Terraglio, which will thus connect the Passante and the ring road by connecting to the hospital roundabout.
The numbers are black on white: new traffic will arrive on the expressway, also in the Silea-Oderzo direction (at least 100 cars now at peak times, about 10% of the total new traffic flow foreseen by the studies carried out by Veneto Streets). and to this we could add that of the new commercial, directional and service era, always planned near the hospital roundabout, on the S.Antonino side.

If the antennas of the local residents and environmentalists were already straight for the East Terraglio, the arrival of the petrol station near the bend of the dead Sil raises new concerns about the danger of pollution, of interventions that could damage the area and new overbuilding (even the now historic Ip distributor is located a few steps from one of the lakes created by the Sile along its banks).
