The Electrolux canteen in Susegana occupied by some workers on Friday morning 27 August

On Friday morning, August 27, a group of workers from Susegana’s Electrolux occupied the canteen to protest against the request to show the Green pass. Negotiations with the company to unblock the situation

SUSEGANA. «Those who can work can also eat in the canteen without showing the Green pass». This is what some workers of the Electrolux of Susegana claim that on Friday morning, August 27, they occupied the canteen after refusing to show the green certificate, necessary to access the indoor tables.

Excited moments on Tuesday morning inside the colossus of Susegana. The protest, according to the first reconstructions, would have started spontaneously after the workers were asked, as always, to show the Green pass before sitting at the tables. Some refused to do so, and the canteen was closed as a result. At that point, the occupation started, with about ten employees guarding the canteen and dealing with the company.

According to the workers, whoever is in a position to work must also have access to the canteen indoors. Especially since, say Electrolux employees, the company canteen has already been the subject of anti-Covid safety measures, with the spacing of seats and the installation of Plexiglas barriers. The company is working to convince the most skeptical and bring the situation back to normal.
