Antonio Tozzi, former commissioner of Udine, died

UDINE. It is the International Police Association (Ipa) of Gorizia to announce, with pain and dismay, the sudden death of Antonio Tozzi, president of the 21st Venezia Giulia delegation of Trieste and former police chief of Udine.

He was also a commissioner in Gorizia and was able to professionally assume his mandate as president of Ipa Trieste, collaborating with the local executive of Gorizia, with a fraternal spirit and always keeping up the motto “Serve in friendship”. “We lose a colleague, a friend and a point of reference at the same time, but the memory of him will always accompany us on the path of our mission. Hi Antonio, thank you for everything you have been able to give and do for us ”, underline the members of the IPA.

«With the death of Antonio Tozzi – echoes the regional councilor for security, Pierpaolo Roberti – Friuli Venezia Giulia not only loses a faithful servant of the institutions but above all a man of great value, rectitude and profound humanity. A person who, both in the performance of his duty and in private life, has been able to be an example to all those who are neighboring states and whose absence cannot be filled “.

It is with these words that Roberti expresses, on behalf of the Region, the deepest condolences to the family of the former commissioner Antonio Tozzi, who died during the night.

Recalling the numerous positions carried out in his long and brilliant career, which began in the early seventies in the State Police, the commissioner highlights that “Tozzi has always worn the uniform with pride and has held roles of great responsibility with diligence, professionalism and sense of institutions , making an important contribution to maintaining security and protecting the citizens of the region. Results for which Friuli Venezia Giulia has a rightful sense of gratitude towards him ».

Councilor Roberti concludes by also underlining «that Tozzi has been a guide for many young people who wear the uniform; he has in fact covered with profit and appreciation, thanks to the determination and the capacity for comparison that distinguished him, also the role of teacher of legal subjects at the School of Student Agents of the State Police of Trieste ».
