Completed the furnishings of the former Strappazzon barracks with 16 beds: we will offer a complete package to tourists
ARSIE ‘ The brand new hostel in the former Col de Gnela barracks and Forte Leone have a manager, Coop 19. And between this week and the first days of June, if there are no hitches, it will be possible to stay in the former barracks and visit with the guides the fortification of Cima Campo.
The announcement comes from the mayor of Arsiè, Luca Strappazzon, who in recent days has carried out an inspection in the former barracks, where the final touches are being completed before the keys are handed over to the Arsedese cooperative that will manage the stays in the accommodation and the visits drive to the fort.
«The race was won by Coop 19», Strappazzon explains, «and the other day we went to the former barracks with the municipal technicians who are making an inventory of the material present. The hostel is in fact given in management already fully furnished, from mattresses to pots to kitchen items. Now the cleaning will be done and the last things sorted out, and I think that for half the week we will be able to hand over the keys to the cooperative, so that the account opens to tourists as soon as possible ».
With its 12-seater living room with bunk beds, and another 4-bed room, the former Great War barracks of Col de Gnela is already classified as one of the Arsedese structures with greater receptivity together with the hotel Parigi di Rocca. and campsites. Functionally furnished, it has everything you need to accommodate groups of cyclists or hikers.
«Now we will be able to offer a complete tourist package», Strappazzon underlines, «with a stay in the former barracks and visits to the fort and the territory. A functional offer able to satisfy the demand that is coming forward ».
“The hope of the administration”, explains Strappazzon, “is that Coop 19 also contacts the nearby territory of Castel Tesino, in order to integrate the offer ».
What Strappazzon imagines, in fact, is a tourist system capable of giving hospitality and reasons of interest to those who choose the Arsedese area to stay a few days, including visits to the malghe, to Forte Leone and perhaps, crossing over a little, to the observatory. astronomical of C elado, in Castello Tesino. While another operation is about to go to port, that of the water park on the shores of Lake Corlo, which now lacks only the assignment in management.
