TURIN. What is known is that the hypothesis of a crime on which the Turin prosecutor’s office has opened an investigation since last September is extortion. Which would have taken place on the appointments of at least four health managers in the ASL of the province of Turin, one of these refers to the district of Chieri / Moncalieri / Carmagnola.
The tasks would have been entrusted by the new general managers appointed in May 2021 by the Region to the respective deputies who are then the medical and administrative director. Who would have pressed / forced the neo-managers to name the numbers “two” and “three”?
At the moment there are no details, but it is certain that the prosecutor Giovanni Caspani, owner of the investigation has aimed the world to override the politics and power groups of the Turin healthcare system. It goes without saying that – given the title of the hypothesized crime – the investigation also imagines that something else has occurred that can be framed outside the channel of the concerned councils. But this investigation – also because of the secrecy that surrounds it – promises something more than a simple exploratory dossier. We will understand better in the coming days. On the other hand, we know that the file was not born from the denunciation of some competitor “disappointed” by the outcome of the appointments, but from the offshoot of another investigation in the field of health from another Piedmont prosecutor’s office and that numerous witnesses have already paraded in the fifth Palagiustizia floor in the prosecutor’s room.
