by admin

AOSTA. A ski mountaineer was rescued by the Valle d’Aosta Alpine Rescue in the Gran San Bernardo valley after an avalanche.

The event took place just before 1pm at an altitude of approximately 2,500 meters at Col Fourchon. The alarm was given by a travel companion who informed the central unit of the rescue of the incident.

For the operator it was not easy to acquire the details necessary to arrange the intervention because the man was very agitated given the incident, however thanks to the information obtained from the radio communication the helicopter reached the accident site.

The ski mountaineer was extracted from the snow in hypothermia and with various traumas, as reported by the Cus.
