Banca Carige is it a problem again? And does the privatization of MPS risk dividing the Draghi government? According to the latest developments, the Ligurian institute has revised upwards the net loss of the eleven months that followed the extraordinary administration to 251.6 million compared to the preliminary 185.3 and Matteo Salvini has asked to postpone the sale of Mps. The two banks have different histories but they both come from bailouts (the first, private, has the Interbank Deposit Protection Fund (Fitd) as the majority shareholder and the second is controlled by the Treasury) and today they have the same need: to find a buyer. And in doing so they risk trampling their feet.
