The Asfo has sent a reminder to some people to get immunized The unions have asked the ministry for clarification
They are vaccinated, but they do not have the Green Pass and some have even been urged to get immunized. These are the Italian workers at the Aviano base who received the doses in the US military facility, but who still do not have the “green” certificate, which has been required since August 6 for a series of services.
At the beginning of the year, vaccinations had also started at the 31st Fighter Wing in Aviano, first for military personnel and then, after the green light from extraordinary commissioner Figliuolo, also for the Italian civilian one who serves on base. All age brackets were respected as in Italy, and so the Italian staff was able to choose whether to get vaccinated through the regional health system and the Asfo (Friuli Occidental Health Authority) or directly on the base.
For this second route the Moderna would be administered, with two doses a few weeks apart as per the protocols. Many have done so also because this would have accelerated the times.
Vaccinations for those who have decided to undergo the stars and stripes administration carried out by the Italian medical staff and the Asfo at hangar 1 of the Pagliaro and Gori airport, transformed into a vaccination hub.
The surprise, however, is these days. Yes, because the government indications on the need for the Green Pass from 6 August have prompted these workers to try to download it, using the methods indicated. There are also those who have turned to the pharmacy, but all have had a negative answer: for them there is no Green Pass.
A research on Sesame, where the health file is located, also highlighted some discrepancies with workers who, at least according to the system, were not vaccinated even if they were. With the second dose he was given the vaccination certificate, which indicates the administration of the two doses and the batch, but they have nothing else. And the concern is growing for everyone since it will be necessary from 6 August.
But it is not only this: there are workers who have also received a letter from Asfo with the reminder to get vaccinated, which they have already done in base.
The workers have asked for clarification, but so far no one has given them to them. A problem that would not only concern Aviano, but all the bases in which US doses were administered to Italian personnel. Probably a question of data transmission and apparently also linked to the fact that the Moderna lot had not been registered in Italy.
“We have asked for a solution to this problem – says Angelo Zaccaria, UilTucs trade unionist – and we have also asked the ministry for clarification”. But so far there has been no response and the workers are hoping that someone will intervene, unblocking the situation quickly.
Meanwhile, on the contagion front in the province there are family outbreaks. Another 28 positives were detected yesterday. –
