According to the news released today (February 28) on the website of the Supreme Procuratorate of the Communist Party of China, the Political and Legal Committee of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Supreme Court, the Supreme Procuratorate, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of State Security, and the Ministry of Justice jointly launched the so-called “Ten Prohibitions for Political and Legal Police Officers in the New Era” and Notice is issued.
The first of the “Ten Strict Prohibitions” is that it is strictly forbidden to engage in two-faced faction, be a two-faced person, form parties for personal gain, and engage in gangs. It is also strictly forbidden to make choices and make flexibility when implementing the central decision-making; it is strictly forbidden to let wrong thoughts erode the influence, and have an ambiguous attitude towards Western constitutionalism, the confrontation of the three powers, and judicial independence; , leaking party and state secrets in any form, etc.
The “Notice” stated that the “Ten Strict Prohibitions” are to delineate the “red line” of thinking and the “bottom line” of behavior.
The CCP’s political and legal system is being continuously purged. Sun Lijun, the former deputy minister of the Ministry of Public Security of the Communist Party of China who was sacked in 2020, and a group of senior political and legal officials who have been sacked successively have been officially characterized as “political gangs”.
On January 10 this year, Li Bei, a spokesperson for the Ministry of Public Security of the Communist Party of China, emphasized that the influence of Sun Lijun and others’ “toxicity” was eliminated, “the black sheep were eliminated”, and the “two-faced people” who were “disloyal and dishonest to the party” were investigated and so on.
In his public speeches in recent years, Xi Jinping has also repeatedly emphasized the need to “severely investigate and punish two-faced people who are disloyal to the party and violate the law.”
Yuan Hongbing, a jurist based in Australia, told The Epoch Times earlier that those so-called loyalists, officials who came to power by flattering and flattering Xi Jinping, are two-faced, and such officials are essentially only loyal to his own interests. The so-called cronies of Xi Jinping may betray him at any time. This is his predicament.
Current affairs commentator Li Linyi said that the CCP’s political and legal system has always helped the CCP maintain power and persecute the people, and now it has become a major concern for Xi Jinping. Senior political and legal officials have power and guns, and they are basically involved in corruption. They also have ties with businessmen and transfer interests. Their greater backing is the CCP’s powerful family, which is the economic and political foundation of anti-Xi.
Li Linyi said, “The reason why the political and legal department has been purged so much now is that Xi has always been worried about the political and legal department’s loyalty to him.”
Qin Jin, chairman of the Democratic China Front and a doctor of sociology at the University of Sydney in Australia, said that the CCP’s focus on investigating “disloyalty and dishonesty to the party” was actually an investigation of disloyalty to Xi Jinping. Because Jiang Zemin and Zeng Qinghong are playing a conspiracy against Xi. The CCP is now mainly a battle between Xi Jinping and the Jiang faction.
