On August 7, the 234th press conference on the prevention and control of the new crown virus pneumonia epidemic in Beijing was held.

The reporter was informed at the press conference that Pan Xuhong, deputy director of the Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau, reported that Beijing police severely punish all types of illegal and criminal acts that hinder the prevention and control of the epidemic in accordance with the law. Some did not report, concealed, falsely reported their whereabouts and other information related to the epidemic. For example, on August 5, Wang Moumou, male, 38 years old, passed through a temporary checkpoint in Fangshan District in order to conceal that he had passed through a medium-to-high-risk area. In fact, using a screenshot of another person’s itinerary code in an attempt to get through the customs, he was seized on the spot and the person has been administratively detained in accordance with the law.

Since July 28, the police have handled 19 crimes involving epidemics, 8 criminals, 10 administrative detentions, and 2 fines. (Headquarters reporter Yu Jingjing Ji Lele)
