Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei transportation integration continues to expand and the comprehensive transportation network is basically formed-China News

Hebei Province has seen significant advancements in its transportation integration over the past decade, with a comprehensive transportation network taking shape and major improvements in infrastructure.

The Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei coordinated development strategy, initially implemented ten years ago, has led to the opening up of “major arteries” and the smoothing of “microcirculations” in the province. This has allowed for the expansion of the transportation integration between the three areas, creating a multi-node, grid-like, full-coverage comprehensive transportation network.

The core areas of Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei are now accessible in half an hour, and major cities in the region have formed 1-1.5 hour transportation circles. This has laid a solid foundation for the coordinated development of the three areas and provides a transportation guarantee.

Significant progress has been made in the construction of the external backbone highway network of Xiongan New Area, with 8 projects covering 573 kilometers completed and open to traffic. This includes the completion of the Tianjin-Shijiazhuang Expressway, the Beijing-Xiong, Rongwu New Line, and the first phase of the Jingde Expressway. Anxin District also now has a direct expressway connection with Beijing and Tianjin.

The construction of the high-speed railway network has also been accelerated, with the Beijing-Xiongan intercity line already open and the Beijing-Xiong Express Line steadily advancing.

Comprehensive collaborative management of transportation has also been improved, with the transportation departments of the three places establishing and improving a cross-regional, multi-level collaborative development working mechanism. This includes regular joint meetings and various special meetings, as well as the formulation of regional collaborative standards and cross-filed normative documents among the three places.
