Belloni at Copasir: ‘Intelligence operational support continues’

The Parliamentary Committee – explains a note from Copasir President Adolfo Urso – for the security of the Republic this morning heard the director of Dis Elisabetta Belloni on the dramatic developments of the crisis in Afghanistan for over two hours. Belloni ensured the continuation of the operational and information support of the intelligence operators, also in order to guarantee the evacuation of those who collaborated with the mission and their families. Five aspects examined in the meeting: the situation on the ground; the “key figures” of the new Taliban leadership; the international projection of the emerging Emirate; terrorist threats and the consequences on migratory flows and international drug trafficking; the procedures for the evacuation of fellow countrymen and collaborators in the coming weeks.
