BELLUNO. “I make a massacre, it’s the last warning, look I’m not joking”: these are the words that the 49-year-old Romanian Sebastian Bogdan Olaru sent before a judge who, according to the prosecution, in February 2016 to be more convincing on the landing he he also waved a kitchen knife.
The accusation is of aggravated threats after that episode that the neighbor reported.
At the origin of the gesture there would have been the exasperation for the continuous banging on the floor, by a boy son of the tenants on the floor above the condominium in a district of the city: also in this case a noise difficult to control since the person is disabled.
Yesterday in the courtroom, in front of Judge Feletto, the offended party announced that he wanted to withdraw the complaint, after confirming what was reported at the time in the complaint-complaint: the matter was formalized in the minutes, although the aggravating circumstance does not technically allow a solution of this type. Olaru (defended by the lawyer Stefano Bettiol) that day still had a knife in his hand and this entails the non-extinction of the crime despite the remission of the complaint.
The 49-year-old has always claimed that that morning he had left his apartment exasperated by the umpteenth blows and was holding the kitchen knife as he was preparing breakfast for his family. That he had never given problems, other neighbors also testified: yesterday another resident of the condominium explained that the whole Romanian family unit has always behaved correctly, made up of completely irreproachable people.
The trial was then postponed to 9 September to hear the missing witness, the then condominium administrator, and for discussion.
With the remission of the complaint, a period of voluntary service in some organization could be proposed to alleviate the situation.
